Meghan DePiero

Meghan DePiero looking good down 30 pounds since Thanksgiving!

In the fall of last year, Meghan saw a commercial on TV for spinning classes that peaked her interest. Chatting about it to a friend, she found out there was a spinning studio right in Beverly.  She gave it a shot a few times over Thanksgiving and Christmas in 2013, but really kicked it into gear come January of 2014 in anticipation of her spring break trip to the Dominican… The bikini was calling!  She started going 3-4 times a week and really began to see results.

“I love spinning because it makes me feel like I’m accomplishing mini goals each class. It’s helped me conquer my weight loss and achieve personal goals that I never thought I’d reach by myself.” She was a cheerleader growing up and can appreciate the team feel of spinning but loves that it’s an individual workout and you make of it what you want. An amateur back in November, she felt a little clueless at first, but quickly found herself picking up tips and techniques to improve each ride. She likes how the workout is never the same twice. “With each class being so different, the ride is over before you know it. You are working out without even knowing it.”

Meghan is a student at Salem State College, and with graduation parties and cookouts she hasn’t been so strict with her diet.  Her go-to foods are chicken, seafood, fruits, and lots of veggies. She tries to have a protein shake as a meal replacement every day. In addition to spinning, eating healthy, avoiding snacks, and drinking lots of water have been key for her weight loss success. “Since January I have lost about 30 pounds. Getting compliments on my weight loss and how good I look gives me the motivation to keep going and look just that much better.  Spinning is definitely something I never saw myself doing a year ago, but as of today, it’s a part of my life and I’m so happy about it!”
