It has been a loooooong winter. As most of you already know, my husband and I were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Richard, on February 3rd. With strict orders from the doctor, I have been forced to “take it easy”, ie. I’ve had to take a good, long break from my favorite workout- spinning! Finally, with clearance from Doc, I am ready to come back! So is my body… I have decided to take a personal spring journey back to fitness- a spring cleaning, if you will, of my post-baby bod. I want to ride into summer stronger, leaner, and more fit than ever before. I’m asking that you join me on this journey.

One of the best things about indoor cycling is the group setting. It allows for that motivation, inspiration, and support we need to make a good workout a killer workout. I want that same infectious drive from you guys over the next few weeks. I push you. You push me. We achieve our goals, whether that means losing weight, losing inches, or just feeling better. Let’s do this together! For two months I’ve vowed to:

  • Spin at least 2x a week
  • Drink LOTS of water (at least 64oz a day)
  • Cut back on alcohol (I will omit alcohol during the week. PS- I like my wine:)
  • Omit soda and juice drinks (This includes diet soda and anything with artificial sweeteners. Start using real sugar in your coffee folks!)
  • Eat more fruit and vegetables (Get them into every meal!)
  • Deny myself the nightly dessert (Damn this one will be hard…)
  • Post a favorite healthy recipe each week to The Inner Cycle’s Facebook page
  • Take a picture pre/post spin each week and post it to The Inner Cycle’sĀ InstagramĀ page– Tag @theinnercycle, #innercyclespringcleaning
